Kurt pulled the curtain back and looked out at the snow. An hour ago the weatherman claimed it would be “3 inches, max” but now it was more than twice the predicted amount and showed no signs of stopping. Dad and Carole were out at a town hall meeting in Columbus, and Finn was easily bribed to spend the night...elsewhere.

Blaine was late. He'd called while stopped in traffic, swearing he would get there as quickly as he could. Kurt made him promise to drive carefully, but even Blaine at his most careful couldn't account for bad drivers and snow.

He stepped away from the window and returned to the kitchen. He needed to do something instead of wait, and the cookies were already cooling on the rack.

Kurt smiled to himself and reached behind the oatmeal where he hid the gourmet cocoa. Finn never moved the oatmeal and Carole kept his secret on the condition that he share—which he did.

A snowy night like this called for proper hot cocoa.

Kurt was lowering the heat to keep the cocoa warm when he heard the doorbell, and ran to open there door.

There stood Blaine, shivering despite his pea-coat and hat pulled over his ears. “Sorry I'm late.”

Kurt just pulled him inside and hugged him tightly. “Come on in. There's hot cocoa on the stove.” He took Blaine's hands and kissed them. “Your hands are freezing!”

“My heater died.” said Blaine, “And traffic was really slow going. I'm sorry, I should have left before it started snowing.” He sighed and stuffed his hat into his pocket before unbuttoning his coat. “I'll just hang this up.”

Kurt poured the cocoa into mugs and brought them to the den. “Here. Warm your hands.”

“Mmmmmm.” Blaine curled his fingers around the steaming mug. “Thank you.” Their eyes met, and Kurt knew that there was no one he would rather be snowed in with than Blaine.

They snuggled together under the quilt, Audrey Hepburn movies on the screen and gourmet cocoa in their mugs. It was the perfect way to spend a snowy evening.

Of course they'd be watching Audrey Hepburn movies - because she was always so stylish!

And, now, let it snow, let it snow, let it snowwwwwwww.
